An overview of the ‘open’ bicycle facilities can be found on the ‘Bicycle parking’ page on uva.nl. These racks are available to anyone who needs to be at the UvA – including staff.
Several UvA locations have bicycle parking areas reserved specifically for staff. Access is granted via an authorised staff card. You can request authorisation at the Facility Services Servicedesk via servicedesk-fs@uva.nl. The list below shows where the dedicated parking facilities are located for each campus.
Beneath Building F there is a dedicated bicycle parking area for staff. Access is via your staff card.
For more information on bicycle parking in the city centre and University Quarter, please see the location overview.
At least once a year, the bicycle parking areas are cleared. Abandoned bikes, long-term parked bikes, and bikes parked outside designated racks are removed. These maintenance rounds are announced in advance. UvA house rules apply in all bicycle parking facilities. Parking bikes, mopeds, and scooters is at your own risk. The UvA is not liable for any damage, loss, or theft.
Has your bike been removed from public racks by the city? Then contact the Municipal Bicycle Depot (Dutch only).
