Major maintenance work at REC J/K building

Several things have changed for users of the REC J/K building since 1 September. This involves some changes in facilities and the relocation of the building’s entrance to the Valckenierstraat. These changes are due to intensifying major maintenance work by the contractor in the building’s interior.

Bicycle parking

Because of the construction traffic inside the building, the bicycle parking in the courtyard will no longer be available after 1 September. Bicycles can still be removed from this area, but they will have to  be parked elsewhere on the campus.

Access for disabled persons and suppliers

The entrance for disabled persons and suppliers will move from the side of the building to the Valckenierstraat. A ramp will be created for this purpose.

Study places removed

Study places in REC J/K were removed on 1 Aug 2022. Students can find study places elsewhere on campus at uba.uva.nl.
