One of the most notable activities of LabQ is quantum research. LabQ provides advanced facilities, including laser setups that have contributed to global breakthroughs in quantum technology.
LabQ will serve as a breeding ground for unique quantum research facilities and developments, with a focus on quantum sensing and quantum applications. It is also the place where Amsterdam is advancing concepts like Rydberg atom qubits, which will play a significant role in the future of quantum computing.
Video about the quantum lab at the UvA
In this video, Florian Schreck, professor of Experimental Quantum Physics, takes us through the UvA's Quantum Gases & Quantum Information Lab. He also discusses how quantum technology can be used to support society.
