This is because there is still no agreement between the UvA and the contractor on the requirements that the work must satisfy. 

The repair work will certainly be carried out, but it is currently impossible to say when. The façade needs to be repaired in order to stop water leaks. The contractor and the UvA have been discussing a solution for some time. Last year, the repair work was expected to start in April of this year. This schedule did not prove feasible, as a difference of opinion arose about the cause of the defects. The UvA is holding the contractor to its contractual obligations on the basis of various investigations. The postponement of the work will not affect the daily use of the buildings.

The repair of the loose facade panels has now been completed and the shutters can be opened again.
