In addition to the requirements laid down in the environmental permit, the UvA imposes requirements on contractors regarding the accessibility, liveability, safety and communication of the surrounding area (the so‑called BLVC requirements) during the execution of the works. Based on this BLVC framework, the contractor draws up a BLVC plan. Once the BLVC plan has been accepted by the City of Amsterdam, the work can proceed to the next stage of preparation.
