Façade work on REC J/K

From 21 August, work will start on the façade of REC J/K, on the Valckenierstraat side. This should be finished around mid-October. The parking spaces in front of the building will not be available during this period. The municipality will place signs to communicate this in advance.

Construction of scaffolding 

In preparation for the work on the façade, scaffolding will be erected from 21 August, which will take about a week and may cause some noise disturbance. Construction fences will also be erected in front of the scaffolding.  

Repair and painting work   

Repair work on the façade will start on 28 August. The first step will be to clean the façade. After that, the masonry and concrete will be repaired where necessary. This will also involve light chopping and drilling. After the repair work, the frames will be sanded and painted. The sanding may be accompanied by noise disturbance.  

Dismantling scaffolding 

The scaffolding is expected to be taken down around mid-October. This may cause some noise disturbance.  

Work will start at 7:00 on weekdays.
