New building at Amsterdam Science Park

The University of Amsterdam will be investing in a new building at Amsterdam Science Park, provisionally titled LAB42. Due to the increase in students, staff, PhD candidates and new partnerships, the existing building at Science Park 904 is no longer large enough to house the entire Faculty of Science.

LAB42
LAB42 is the new hub for the development of talent in the field of Digital Innovation and Artificial Intelligence (AI), facilitating partnerships between students, researchers and businesses. ‘Answering tomorrow’s questions together.’

The new building will feature lecture rooms, study places, research facilities, workstations, and spaces for collaboration on Artificial Intelligence (AI) with other UvA disciplines and external parties. With inviting facilities that encourage interaction, knowledge sharing and cross-pollination between scientists, students, the business sector and social partners, a unique ecosystem in the field of AI will emerge.
