From the beginning of May, you will be able to use several neighbourhood eHUBs at Amsterdam Science Park. These are places where shared transport is offered. All the vehicles are electric, so they offer a sustainable way to travel.
Example location eHUBs

All users of Amsterdam Science Park can make use of the eHUBs. The eHUBs will initially be provided on a temporary basis. At the end of this year, we will check whether the eHUBs are being used to a sufficient extent. We will then decide whether to keep the eHUBs. The eHUBs can be recognised by the traffic sign with the red eHUB logo.

Means of transport

In consultation with local residents, we have selected various vehicles as the means of transport. A total of four electric vehicles will be offered as shared transport: a bicycle (offered by Bondi), a cargo bike (offered by Cargoroo), a moped (offered by Felyx) and a car (offered by SHARE NOW).

The prices vary per vehicle and provider and are between €0.05 – €0.40 per minute, with a minimum rate of €1 in some cases. The cars and mopeds work in accordance with the free-floating principle. This means that they can be left almost anywhere in the city. This does not apply to bicycles and cargo bikes. Bicycles and cargo bikes must be returned to an eHUB after use.

Locations

The shared transport options of the eHUBs are offered at four locations. You can use different means of transport at each location. The locations and the associated means of transport are shown below:

  • location 1: corner of Kruislaan and Carolina Macgillavrylaan (bike, cargo bike and moped);
  • location 2: at Carolina Macgillavrylaan 1672 (bike, cargo bike, moped and car);
  • location 3: along the façade of the Faculty of Science, at the corner of USC (bicycle and moped);
  • location 4: at the entrance of the Nikhef building (moped).
