On 27 July 2012, the first consignment of soil from the inner courtyard of REC D-G, which had been dug up and temporarily stored on site, was taken away. The soil deposits were loaded with a digger into closed-top soil transport lorries with a capacity of 20-25 m³. On Monday 6 August, the second discharging day for these excavation works will take place. Just like the first discharging day, there will only be one soil transport lorry at a time at the Nieuwe Prinsengracht location, with the other two lorries waiting at the Roetersstraat if there is already a truck loading at that moment. There will be approximately 16 logistic lorry movements at the Nieuwe Prinsengracht during these activities. The delivery of new, clean soil, planting and paving will take place, in phases, over a three week period (until 24 August), although not on weekends. These activities will require no more than three logistic lorry movements per day.

The work will take place under the supervision of a certified inspector, as well as traffic and safety supervisors from 07:00 to 17:00.
